Family-owned. Quality-driven.
Trusted for over 60 years.
The Cleveley family bought Moat Farm from the Wharton family in December 1962. JH (Jack) Cleveley had recently retired from a career as Regional Manager of British Road Services.
Jack and wife Phylis enjoyed the rural life at Moat Farm. Farming various mixed livestock including turkeys and chickens for the Hotel and Christmas trade.
Their son, Malcolm joined them after completing his training at Harper Adams College. Specialising in poultry husbandry & management. The business grew and the Cleveley vans could be seen delivering to hotels and restaurants in and around Norfolk and Suffolk.
During the course of these years, the livestock made way for a Cook/Smokehouse and Cleveleys expanded to a fully functioning Butchery & Delicatessen as Malcolm and his wife Pat are joined by son Chris.
Cleveleys was officially incorporated in 2004, strengthening the foundations of the business for the future.
Four generations of the Cleveleys family now work within the company.
In 2023, we invested in solar energy across our site at Moat Farm, installing 365 solar panels - one for every day of the year - as part of our commitment to a more sustainable future.
In 2026, we have more than 70 employees, offer over 300 butchery and 1200 deli products and a selection of premium Cleveleys kitchen & smokehouse ranges. We are proud to be one of the largest independent catering suppliers in the East of England.
