A smooth pate produced at Cleveleys using a traditional pate recipe, which has stood the test of time and has been made by our chefs at Cleveleys for more than 20 years. The recipe hasn’t changed even though the world and Cleveleys most certainly have. Made using a blend of duck livers, salted butter, onions, garlic, citrus and port. The livers are cooked in butter until perfectly tender and then are blended with even more butter and seasonings. We top our pates with a layer of clarified butter to seal in all the goodness and add even more luxury to the pate. The result is a luxurious duck liver which is unrivalled in its quality and taste. Wonderful simply spread on hot toast or as part of a luxurious starter of chargrilled ciabatta and tomato relish.
